Goal setting is Sports and Exercise Psychology's best stab at encourage athletes to adhere to a training plan when things get tough. If you're training for fitness and/or competition in 2026, now is good time to get clear goals established. Measurable targets are easy to set but if they're not meaningful to you as a rider, a person, and a fully paid up member of the human race they are pointless. I wrote about it at length here but the long and short is it's worth spending time thinking about why you are motivated to train and let your goals flow from that. Get in touch if I can help.
